Jessie Lee Scurlark, 52, of Midland, died on Saturday, July 21, 2001 in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Antioch Baptist Church in Midland with Rev. Artis Hall, of Latter Day Revival Church in Houston officiating assisted by Rev. D. F. Johnson, of Antioch Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton. He was born on September 12, 1948 in Crockett, Texas. Jessie came to Stanton in 1950 and graduated from Stanton High School. He worked in the oilfield until 1995 and then worked for the U. S. Postal Service as a contract driver. He was a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, Gregory Scurlark and Telvin Scurlark both of Midland; one daughter, Rachelle Scurlark of Midland; his mother, Eddie B. Scurlark of Stanton; five brothers, Michael Scurlark and Roy Scurlark both of Midland, Steve Scurlark of Big Spring, Willie Scurlark of Houston, and Warren Scurlark, Jr. of Stanton; eight sisters, Carolyn Scurlark, Cathrine Scurlark, Ella Scurlark, Helen McCoy and Melissa Traylor all of Stanton, Ola Scurlark, Clytia Miles and Dianne Scurlark all of Houston; and two grandchildren, Gyren Scurlark and Lyricle Scurlark both of Midland. He was preceded in death by his father, W. C. Scurlark, Sr.; and one brother, Lawrence Scurlark. Arrangements under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home.,
