On Saturday, April 24, 2021, Jeff Sunderlin, loving husband and father of two adult children, passed away at the age of 54 in Midland, TX.

Jeff was born on March 27, 1967 in Newaygo, Michigan to Jack and Janice Sunderlin. He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University in Lombard, Illinois in 1988, and has worked across various levels of leadership roles for corporations, such as his most recent role as Senior Director of Cerner Corporation in Odessa, Texas.

On June 3, 1989, Jeff married the love of his life Laura Sunderlin. They raised two amazing children, Preston and Kaleigh.

Jeff had a passion for the outdoors, and would partake in hunting, fishing, archery, and many other outdoor sports. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and he was an active member of his church. Jeff loved deeply and was known for his calming presence, compassionate spirit, and his servant’s heart.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Jack. He is survived by his wife Laura, son Preston, daughter Kaleigh, mother Janice, sister Joyce, and brother-in-law Norm Kuberski.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Fairmont Park Church of Christ in Midland, TX at 4 o’clock p.m. A graveside service will also be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Highland Cemetery in Melissa, TX at 2 o’clock p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Jeff may be made to help fund late-stage Lyme Disease treatments for his daughter Kaleigh Sunderlin. These donations can be made via GoFundMe at: https://gofund.me/1e98fba2.

My heartfelt condolences to you Laura, and for Preston and Kaleigh. Jeff was a great leader, manager, and friend in my time in Illinois working with him. His calming influence in a crazy IT world we lived in was the way we got thru our days and challenges. Jeff was truly a role model to his staff, honorable, and displayed his faith in his actions. My prayers are with you and the family as you move thru this time. Jeff is with the Lord, you will see him again. 2 Corinthians 5:8

In memory of Jeffrey Dean Sunderlin, Audrey and David St John lit a candle

I am Laura's sister in law, her brother David and I with two older sons moved down to Florida. We bought a home and had to wait for the closing. In that Love, Jeff and Laura offered a week of their time share without us even asking to help with the money we were spending on hotels. It was the last week to our closing. It was such a blessing and a great place. At this moment it does not seem possible that this has happened to a Lovely family. I am at peace that Jeff is with our Lord. Love to our family Laura,Preston Kaleigh.

I have known and worked with Jeff since EDS, Perot, Dell and NTT and in those many many years he was a great co-worker, boss, friend, mentor & confidant. He was someone you could trust, a man of high character, honor and a Christian. He was a wonderful person who loved his family, nature and a good laugh. I am so saddened by his sudden passing, in disbelief. My heartfelt sympathies extended to his family. He will not be forgotten as he has impacted so many lives.

Jeff and I grew up together we had some amazing adventures . I learned how to hunt and how to shoot bows with him . So very sorry your family's loss . He was a good guy .

My heartfelt sympathy to you, Laura, and to your family. I am so honored to have known him and he wil be greatly missed by all of us that knew him at church and by those especially that new him through our feast group. We love you and want you to know we are here for you.

Laura & Family. May God hold each one of you in his hands, watch over you, and give you strength, stamina, and keep your faith strong. I am so thankful that I got to know Jeff through our Fairmont Park feast group. I so enjoyed talking with him so very much. His devotional that he did for our group recently was so inspiring. I know that Jeff is in a beautiful place with our Father. Jeff certainly will be missed.

I knew Jeff from his days at Perot Systems/Dell/NTT Data. He was nice and caring person always willing to listen or offer advice. I enjoyed the time we spent trying to play basketball at the Heights Baptist Church and the times we spent talking about hunting. Jeff will be surely be missed.

Jeff was definitely a calming presence . . .

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff’s family. Jeff was an amazing mentor and friend in our years at Perot Systems and Dell Services. Rest In Paradise my friend.
