Janette Davis

Janette Davis, 81 of Midland, Texas passed away at her home on Thursday, April 15, 2021.

Janette was born November 1, 1939 to Leonard and Lena Mae (Pilgrims) McMinn in Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas.  Janette moved to Midland at age 10 and graduated from Midland High School in 1958. She worked for Midland Memorial Hospital as well as Sunray DX, Union of Texas Petroleum.

Janette has been a member of Bellview Baptist church since 1950. She has been part of the music program for over 50 years. Janette also taught the pre-school for 27 years and served on many, many committees.  Janette married her loving husband Mac Davis on March 12, 1967.  Janette was an avid flower gardener, she loved helping people especially preparing food for families with illness or death. She loved gospel music, MC Basketball and pampering her dogs.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Nolan McMinn and Elton McMinn; sister, Neva Sutton.  Janette is survived by her husband and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm, on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 19, 2021 at Bellview Baptist Church in Midland. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
