James Wallace Moore Jr., 83, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 2:00PM at Crestview Baptist Church with Jimmy Daniel officiating.James was born January 24, 1931 in Quanah, Texas to Josephine and James Wallace Moore Sr. He married Patricia Knight on February 12, 1954 in Haleyville, Alabama. James and his family moved from Alabama to Stanton, TX. They lived in the convent in Stanton until they moved to Midland in 1957. James retired from T.U. Electric in 1992 after 37 years. He was a member of the CAF and was the past President of the High Sky Wing. James was active in the Ghost Squadron, a member of The Blastards, volunteered at Midland Crisis Center and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church in Midland. His family and friends were very important to him, and he will be remembered for his mischievous grin.Survivors include his grandson, Michael Arden of Los Angeles, CA; daughter-in-law, Maureen Bennett and her husband, Spencer of Midland; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Moore, and two sons, Kelly and Michael Moore.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to Hospice Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, TX 79702 or Midland Crisis Center, PO Box 10081, Midland, Texas 79702.\tArrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
