John Williams left a message on July 29, 2025:
I learned of Jimmy's passing today while speeding toward a morning meeting on a high-speed train. The news stopped me in my tracks. I had to pause to catch my breath and gather my thoughts. But rather than letting that silence echo with sorrow, I chose to hear Jimmy's laughter instead. He deserves to be remembered with a smile. At first, a wave of sadness swept over me. But it didn't stick around for long. I found myself diving into the memories we made - the adventures, the mischief, the laughter. Our bond was forged in a turbulent season of my life, and Jimmy's zest for living pulled me out of the shadows. That spark became the foundation of a lifelong friendship. We had a knack for attracting chaos. Not the bad kind-just the kind that turns into stories you can't stop telling. One that still makes me laugh happened on a late-night trip from Stanton to Midland. I'd forgotten to check the gas tank and, as if on cue, Murphy's Law kicked in. We ran out of gas ten miles from town and tried hitchhiking, thumbs out, hopeful. Nothing. Not even a slow-down. Then Jimmy reached into his bag of tricks. He stuffed a rag under his shirt to fashion a convincing feminine silhouette complete with cleavage-and struck a pose that would make any trucker tap the brakes. Within two minutes, a pickup screeched to a stop. We sprinted over, and the driver's face dropped as he realized he'd been hilariously duped. "Oh come on, man..." he grumbled-but couldn't help laughing. He took us to Midland, and we made it home to sleep in our own beds. That was Jimmy. Wild, brilliant, unapologetic. He turned trouble into adventure and strangers into friends. He didn't just live he lit everything up. So today, I don't grieve in silence. I celebrate the laughter, the legacy, and the love we shared. Because Jimmy wouldn't want tears-he'd want stories. In Loving Memory of Jimmy Jimmy was a lifelong friend whose presence was a steady thread through all the chapters of my life. Though our paths diverged, his loyalty never wavered, and our friendship remained a source of grounding and warmth. Jimmy never sought the spotlight, but those who knew him understood the depth of his heart and constancy. He will be sorely missed-and never forgotten. With deepest sympathy, John Williams
