Jackie C. Milam, 72, of Odessa, Texas, died on Sunday, February 10, 2008. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring, with Dr. Jimmy Braswell, pastor of the St. Andrews Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiating.Jackie was born on December 8, 1935, in Big Spring, Texas and married Pat Thornton in 1961 and she preceded him in death in 1991. He later married Marie Conner on April 18, 1997 in Odessa, Texas.Mr. Milam moved to Odessa in 1982 and worked for Shell Pipeline as a supervisor for over 30 years before retiring in the early 1990's. Jackie had worked for his brother with Milam Pipeline for the past three years. He was a Methodist, had served in the Untied States Air Force, and had been involved in the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang.Survivors include his wife, Marie Milam of Odessa; two sons, David Milam of Odessa and James J. Milam of Big Spring; one daughter, Valerie Albach of Richardson; his mother, Pauline Pearce of Odessa; one brother, Dick Milam of Lubbock; two sisters, Judy LeDoux of Henderson, Nevada; and Kay Kelly of Panama City, Florida; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Christie Maginnis, a grandson, Patrick, one infant son, Patrick and his father Clyde Pearce.
