Dear Family of Jack Russell, It was such a pleasure to be with your father and grandfather the few times he visited Princeton when Lana and I were in seminary. He was very funny and very gracious. There have been very few conversations that I have had with Lana when she hasn't mentioned "Mother and Daddy." Your family has the greatest gift ever: unconditional love towards each other. I know that was cultivated and nurtured through your Dad's entire lifetime. You were his greatest treasure. My prayers are with you and I know that Jack is resting now from his labors in the eternal arms of the God who loves him dearly and completely.

To Liz and all the Russell family: I find it so hard to put into words the great sense of loss that Mom, Mike and I feel at the loss of this family's greatest friend. Liz, You and Jack have always been there for us and Jack was the brother that my father lost in 1961. I sincerely wish that I could let you how much Jack has meant to me over the years. I always knew that no matter what happened that I could have always have picked up the phone and Jack would have been there for us. I have never known a more careing and genuine friend. Mom and Dad would always call and let me know every time you and Jack came by the house to take them out to eat at Henry's. They were always so excited at the prospect of a trip to Fredricksburg or Ruidoso. The little car that Jack would drive me around in when we came to Midland to visit in the driveway witth the little tiller steering wheel! The excitement in Jack's eyes when we would discuss cars, and things that we had common interests in. I have a best friend that I have been so close to since I was in the fifth grade in Waco Tx. I have always compared our friendship to that of Jack and Bill over the years and I want to let you know that Jack was my personal roll model and one of the greatest individuals and friends that I have ever had the opportunity to know. Most Sincerely: David Scoggins

Jack was in my books a man with a heart of gold. I have known Jack for over 15 years and thought of him as a gift from god. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Although I had not seen him in quite a while, I always thought about him when I saw Felice. Jack or Mr Russell as my daughters referred to him, was someone who was quick witted and very compassionate. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May god bless you. Nancy, Kaitlyn and Kacey
