J.D. (Paw Paw) Robinson, 82, of Midland passed away August 15th, 2020. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19th, 2020 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Oldham officiating.J.D. was born March 12, 1938 to R.D. Robinson & Corine Woodard in Livingston, TX. Later in life, J. D. decided to make Midland his home. It was there that he met his wife, Gloria. J.D. and Gloria were married for 41 years. Before his illness, he was employed at Witt Transportation where he was an oilfield mechanic. During his tenure there, he received many awards for his service. J.D. was known as a jokester and was a great storyteller! He loved his family and especially his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.He is survived by his wife, Gloria; children, Darrell Robinson, Jason Robinson (Nikki), Neshun Hailey (Jumon), Gwendolyn Holmes, and Earl Scott; sisters, Thelma Woodard, Norma Smith, and Elbert Anderson; 55 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.J.D. was preceded in death by his parents R.D. and Corine; one son, Jerry Scott and one great-granddaughter, Jordyn Lynn.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory in Midland.
