J.D. Crawford, 87, of Midland passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015. The family will receive guests from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, January 5, 2015 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at First Assembly of God with Jonathan Wymore and Bob Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.J.D. was born January 29, 1927 to Neta and G.T. Crawford in Scurry County, Texas. He married Dorothy Branch on August 6, 1949 in Penwell, Texas. They have been residents of Midland since 1949. J.D. loved farming and ranching. He served as an elder at Living Way Foursquare Church. He was a founding director of Community National Bank. He was a member of the Lions Club and was involved in Teen Challenge. He was a member of Full Gospel Business Men’s group.Survivors include wife, Dorothy of Midland; son, Paul Crawford and wife Angie of Stanton; son, Mark Crawford and wife Jan of Frisco, TX; son, Harold Heald and wife Lisa of The Colony, TX; daughter, Brenda Jobe of Midland; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Leora Spann of Colorado City; brother, Carl Crawford of Midland; a sister-in-law, Tommie Crawford; and several nieces and nephews.Memorial donations may be made to Teen Challenge of the Permian Basin, 6901 S County Road 1200, Midland, TX 79706.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
