Lorena Flowers, 82 of Stanton, died on Thursday, July 10, 2003, in a Midland nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 14, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Stanton with Rev. Robert Frazier pastor of Valley View Baptist Church in Midland , officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 13, 2003 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the funeral home. She was born on November 24, 1920, in Stanton, Texas and married Waymon Hardin on May 3, 1943 in Stanton, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1963. She then married Roy Linney he preceded her in death and later married Jeff Flowers and he also preceded her in death. Mrs. Flowers was a life time resident of Stanton. She enjoyed quilting. She was a homemaker and had worked for Walgreen Drug in Stanton and Wes Tex Telephone. She was a member of Belvue Church Of Christ and was very active with the Martin County Senior Citizens. Survivors include her son, Jerry Wayne Hardin and his wife, Joyce of Midland; her daughter, Betty Sue Hardin of Odessa; two brothers, Harold Graves of Stanton and I. T. Graves of Dumas; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers.Arrangements under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton, Texas.
