Isla Jean Hallman

Isla Jean Hallman passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 in Midland.  Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm at the Loraine Cemetery, Loraine, Texas.

Isla Jean Hallman was born December 26, 1929 in Loraine, Texas to Malcom and Mary Ethyl Bruce. Isla grew up on a cotton farm in Mitchell County with two sisters.  She married Gerald Ray Hallman of Loraine in July 1948.  They were blessed with four children Cynthia Hallman Graham, Gerald Ray Hallman, Jr (Gerry), Caryl Hallman Burke, and Larry Don Hallman. Isla was a homemaker all of her life.

Isla is survived by her daughter Cynthia and her husband Earl, of Midland, her son Gerry Hallman and his wife Sue of Lake Leon, Eastland, Texas and her daughter Caryl and her husband Les of Midland.  She is also survived by grandchildren, Shanna Hallman Harlin and her husband Billy of Fort Worth, Jeffery Aman and his wife Roberta of Virginia, Jennifer Aman Haltom and her husband Royce of Fort Worth, Wendy Hallman Clodfelter and her husband Eric of Midland, Kathryn Burke Rhodes and her husband Aaron of Deridder, Louisiana and Kevin Burke and his wife Jenna of Colorado Springs and Megan Hallman Liljenwall and her husband Erik of Grand Prairie.    She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald, her son Larry, and her parents and sisters.

Her family would like to express their gratitude towards Hospice of Midland for their care during the last part of her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Luke’s Methodist Church of Midland, and Hospice of Midland.
