Iris Nell Estes

Iris Estes, age 86, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Midland, TX.

Iris was born June 2, 1939, in Brownfield, TX to Jarvis and Marjorie (Moore) Nowell.

She graduated from Plainview (TX) High School in 1957 and Lubbock Christian College in 1959 as she was in the first graduating class from LCC. She married Jack Estes on February 14, 1961. Jack and Iris were members of the Fairmont Park Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband Jack, her son Randy Estes and Lisa of Goddard, KS and her twin sister Iva Dell Nowell of Lubbock, TX, grandchildren Katie Brannon and Chad of Odessa, TX, Abbie Simpson and Sean of Fredericksburg, TX, Ashley Christ and Cameron of Salina, KS, Neal Estes and Alyssa of Wichita, KS and Samantha Estes of Goddard, KS, great grandchildren Trustin Clayton of Odessa, TX, Brennan Clayton of Lubbock, TX and Cooper Christ of Salina, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jimmy Nowell of Granbury, TX and her daughter Stephanie Arnold of Midland, TX.

Services will be conducted Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Fairmont Park Church of Christ, Midland, TX at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland, TX.
