Greg Inderlied, 59, of Big Spring, Texas, was called into Heaven on Saturday, February 25, 2023. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 10am, Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Cornerstone Covenant Church, 706 E. 12th St., Big Spring followed by interment at Trinity Memorial Park.
Greg was born June 13, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and married the love of his life, Cindy (Mitchell) Inderlied in 1983 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He attended Oklahoma State University and received an associates’ degree from Seminole Junior College. Greg spent his working career in retail sales and management. He worked in various locations for Sears Department Stores over the successful course of his 18 year career. Greg was a highly respected manager, and often referred to as the “best boss” by the many employees he led. After his first career in management, he then became a co-owner of the family furniture and flooring business. After owning and operating a business for 14 years, Greg chose to step down to become the primary caregiver for his wife, Cindy. Greg accomplished many things inside and outside of his professional work, including becoming an ordained minister and serving churches and prison ministries across West Texas.
Greg was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend. He was an artist. He loved to paint, and he loved nature, which he referred to as “God’s canvas”. Greg was also passionate about fishing and gardening as well. He particularly enjoyed keeping his yard pristine in hopes of having the “best lawn” in the area. He loved to cook and was known for always bringing home so many “extra groceries” when he was out shopping.
Greg loved God. He loved his Family, his Friends, and he loved Football. He was an avid Cowboys Fan and loved staying up late talking sports with his only son, Tate. He loved traveling with family and going on cruises. He made sure those travels were adventurous with as many sightseeing opportunities as possible so his children would never miss out. Recently he developed a love of Facetiming with his daughter Katelyn and making his baby grand-daughter, Lillian, laugh. His devotion to his family and the pride he had in their accomplishments was unwavering.
Greg leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Cindy; his mother, Lela Inderlied; his son, Tate; his daughter and son-in-law, Katelyn and Landon Stone; his granddaughter, Lillian Stone; his brothers, Bill, Mike, Darren, and David; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, William Inderlied; and a granddaughter, Braylee Stone.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Braylee Rose Foundation. The Braylee Rose Foundation was founded in 2021 in remembrance of Greg’s granddaughter, Braylee. The Foundation’s mission is to financially support families who experience the loss or severe illness of a child, because no family should have to choose being absent to pay the bills over spending important time together. Donations can be made via www.brayleerose.org or landon@brayleerose.org.
