Glenodene Williams passed away on June 26, 2024 in her home. She was born October 18, 1931. She married Dwain Williams February 2, 1949. They raised 3 children in the small town of Vealmoor, Texas. She was a devoted spouse and mother. Together, they worked hard to provide for their family. They farmed and started an oilfield company. She was a hard worker and instilled that in her children. She loved playing golf, watching basketball, reading, and spending time with family.
Glenodene was known for her huge heart and her bluntness. You could always count on her for a joke or two and a piece of advice about what you or your relatives could be doing better. Most of the time…she was right.
She was preceded in death by her parents (Maurine & Porter Hanks), sister and brother-in-law (Wilella & ET Tucker), and husband (Dwain). Though she may no longer be with us, her memory will live on through the memories shared by loved ones and the legacy left behind.
Her legacy includes lots of family members that will miss her dearly- daughter Sheryl and husband Jackie Gass of Big Spring, daughter Debra and husband Joe Lusk of Big Spring, and son Geary Williams of Big Spring. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren- Kristin Tubb, Keith and Charlene Monger, Ryan and Heather Williams, Jace Williams, Eric and Marcie Lusk, Sara and Justin Myers, and Scott and Jenna Nichols; 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
The family wants to give special gratitude to her caregivers during her last years. This team of special ladies became like family to Glenodene and the rest of the family. Their care and devotion will not be forgotten.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, June 28, 2024 at Trinity Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com
