Glenna Lea Scarbrough went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 25, 2022. She was born in Midland, Texas to Elmer and Ida Cox on November 25, 1948. She met the love of her life Jackie Lee Scarbrough in 1963 in Midland, Texas and married him on March 4, 1966. She was a stay at home mom until their youngest started school and then she worked for MISD until she retired in 2019. Glenna was an amazing wife, mother, and granny to her family. Her grandkids could do no wrong in her eyes. She never missed a school function or sporting event for her girls or the grandkids.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Jackie Lee Scarbrough, 2 daughters, Deborah Kaye Baze and husband Jeremy Baze, Tamarah Gaye Edens and husband Trey Edens; four grandkids Derrick Timothy Baze and wife Cheyenne Baze, Jacob Tyler Baze, Korbyn Lance Riojas, and Adyson Marie Riojas; and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved so much. She is preceded in death by her mother Ida Marie Gentry, stepdad Archie Lee Gentry, dad Elmer Curtis Cox, and sisters, Mary Katherine Washburn, Iris Kaye Cox and Dorothy Gaye Cox.

Services will be graveside only at Resthaven Memorial Park, Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00am. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Baze, Trey Edens, Derrick Baze, Jacob Baze, Korbyn Riojas, and Max Scarbrough Jr.

Glenna was one of the 1st people I met when I started working at Alamo Jr. High. She was so sweet and kind to me when I was unsure of myself. She left after that year to work at another school. Fast forward 15 years to Abell Jr. High. Not sure about starting at a new school and dealing with recovering from a bone marrow transplant. Low and behold, there was Glenna. Gave me a big hug and a smile. She always made sure that I was taking care of myself and always told me I was a great teacher. I have had the privilege to teach 3 of Glenna's grandchildren. As much I a will miss Glenna, I am happybto know that she will be reunited with her family in heaven.
