Georgia Gaines, 84, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Rev. Terry Easley, officiating.Georgia was born November 11, 1927, in Madill, Oklahoma to Bessie (Phillips) and John Brower. She married A.H. Gaines on January 26, 1946 in Lubbock, after dating two weeks. They were inseparable and were never without each other until A.H. passed away on September 12, 2007.Georgia had many talents, including sewing, cooking and refinishing cabinets. She was an excellent baker and seamstress. Her favorite thing in life was to be surrounded by her family and be with her three Chihuahuas that she rescued. Survivors include daughter, Jan Singleton of Midland; three granddaughters, Mindi Green (Curtis); Cori Armstead (Kris); and Lesley Caughron (Jimmie) all of Midland; six great-grandchildren, Kendal Schneidr, Kelsey Green, Nicole Caughron, Kyle Bell, Maddie Caughron, and Kameron Armstead; one great-great-grandson, Adam Valenzuela; and one sister, Etta Wilcox.
