Geneva White

Geneva McKinnerney White passed from this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.  Private graveside service will be held at the Richland Springs Cemetery.

She was born on September 16, 1930 on the family farm near Richland Springs, Texas to Connie and Nellie McKinnerney, the eighth of ten children.  She graduated from Richland Springs High School in 1949 and was married to Sam on December 22, 1950 in Rochelle, Texas.

Sam and Geneva lived in several towns in Texas and Missouri over the years.  They retired in 1995 and moved to Midland, Texas to be near their son and assist him in his nursery business.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Samuel G. White, Sr. in 2014.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, W.H. McKinnerney, John McKinnerney and Jim McKinnerney and three sisters, Etta Solsberry, Odessa Edwards and Venita Martin.

She is survived by one sister, Ozell Yates and two brothers, A.D. McKinnerney and Floyd McKinnerney, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her son Samuel G. White, Jr.

Mom was the heart of the family and will be greatly missed.  She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ.
