Frances Lamoyane Harrell Bradshaw, 93, of Midland, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in Midland.
Lamoyane was born January 12, 1930 in Mineral Wells, TX to Dan and Vera Harrell. After graduating from high school, Lamoyane attended Texas Tech University where she earned a BA in Music and a Master’s in Education. Upon graduation she began her teaching career in Snyder then continued to teach in Lubbock where stayed for the remainder of her career in education. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma professional organization, and served on the state board for the Texas State Teachers Association. Lamoyane volunteered her time at First Baptist Church in Midland as the children’s choir coordinator, and as the wedding coordinator. She also spent many years as a volunteer at the Petroleum Museum.
She married Jimmie Charles Bradshaw on October 26, 1974. Together, Jim and Lamoyane made many memories with dear friends traveling to fish and camp in their RV, and work with church builders constructing new churches in many different states. Lamoyane looked forward to her trips to Colorado in the summer where she and Jim hosted many guests during their stay in the mountains. She loved entertaining friends and family in her home and always found ways to capture the magic of the holidays.
Survivors include cousin, Carolyn Cason of Fort Worth; step-daughter, Debbie Harding of Carrollton; step-daughter, Cindy Fox of Abilene; granddaughters Jessica Fox, Jana Mace, and Elizabeth Blakley; grandson Michael Bradshaw as well as many cousins and their children who were loved dearly.
Lamoyane is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Charles Bradshaw.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church.
The family would like to express their gratitude toward the caretakers and medical staff that assisted Lamoyane through the final years and days of her life.
