Evelyne Francoise Rose Fattorini Martin, born in Chaumont, France, and lived most of her life in Big Spring, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 27th, 2022. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 31, 2022 at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel.
Born September 25, 1936 to her parents Giovanni Natale Fattorini and Marcelle Tissot Fattorini. She married Quin G. Martin in 1953 and divorced in 1994. She supported him in a long military career, they lived in several states until finally settling in Big Spring. She became a United States citizen and raised a wonderful family.
Evelyne, or Memere as she was affectionately referred to by her family, unconditionally, unselfishly loved her children and family supporting them in any way she could all her life. She loved reading and was extremely skilled in embroidery, and often made gifts of her work. Her purpose was to serve her family and she enjoyed making others happy.
To say that her family and friends will miss her greatly is an understatement. She was a cherished mother, aunt, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was unselfish to a fault.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Noel Martin and wife Amanda Susan Martin, West Virginia; daughter: Cherie Martin-Nobles-Knupp and Cary Knupp, Fort Worth; grandchildren: Melinda Martin Pratt and husband Aaron Pratt, Helena Montana, Andrew Aaron Gore, Steve M. Nobles and wife Paige Nobles, Flower Mound, RoxAnne M. Nobles and Anderson Parker, Chicago, Ill., Polly Markey Martin and Walker Noel Martin; her great grandchildren: Ashton Quin Nobles and Laurel Quin Pratt; nephews and cousins abroad: Eric Gordon French, Giana, Christiane Bonnard of Brottes, France, Agnes Bonnard, Paris, France, Christelle DuMartin, Natacha Kovalevski, Mailys DuMartin, Luuna DuMartin, Paris, France; her immediate family state side: Marilou Leftwich Martin, Dorothy Robbins, Columbia, Mississippi, Joyce and George Elliot, Lancaster, Texas, Gloria and Ray Smith, Meridian, Mississippi, Daniel Smith and family, Tina Keller, Sheri Mitchell, Michael Owen Mitchell and Will Robbins.
She is preceded in death by one son Jimmy Earl Martin and a grandson Joshua A. Martin.
