Evelyn Burchett, 75, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, July 10, 2002, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 13, 2002, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Ralph Anderson, minister of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on February 23, 1927 in Ralls, Texas. She married Ulysses Hall on March 16, 1946. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1974. She then married J. C. Burchett on January 23, 1976 in Andrews. Evelyn worked at the Big Spring State Hospital from 1973 until retiring in 1988. She continued to provide tender care and compassion to those in need for many years. She was a member of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, J. C. Burchett of Big Spring; one son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Deryl Ann Hall of San Angelo; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Elaine and Bill Jennings of Big Spring; four grandchildren, Shane Forrest and Ashley Hayes both of Austin and Joel Jennings and Allison Peterson both of San Angelo; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joyce and Carroll Choate of Big Spring and Dealva Patton of Fredericksburg.She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sisters.
