Eudora “Dorie” Moore, of Midland, passed from this life on Friday, February 6, 2014 at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her three children, Virgil Gene Moore (Karen) of Prairie Village, Kansas; Camille Seabourn Woodside (Mark) of Midland, Texas; and Laurel Ann Graham (Roy) of San Antonio, Texas; two step-children, Gerry Lynn Cox of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and Tammy Kay Moore of Prescott, Arizona. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, Jim Cox (Terra), Shane Cox, Leona Nevins, Jayson Nevins, Mary Nevins, Bonnie Waite, Katie Waite, Noah Seabourn, Abbey Graham and Claire Graham. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers Carlas Schultz of Davenport, Iowa and Floyd Schultz of Auburndale, Florida and many other relatives and friends.Dorie was born Eudora Bertha Elizabeth Geneva Schultz on January 15, 1935 to Mabel and Emil K. Schultz Sr. on a farm in Castalia, Iowa. After graduating from Postville High School in 1953, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she worked for Northwest Airlines and met Jerry Moore, her husband of 50 years. They later moved to Luana, Iowa where they raised their three children. Dorie was the Secretary for the Principal of MFL High School and was loved by all of the students that ended up in her office either serving detention or just stopping in to say “hello”. In 1981 they moved to Midland, Texas where she quickly found a job with Cities Service Oil and Gas later to become OXY Petroleum where she worked as a production secretary. She retired from OXY in 1998.Dorie had a passion for sewing. She spent her retirement years quilting and sewing. Her greatest passion was her grandchildren whom she loved deeply. She was always there with good advice and more importantly, her love, to all who were in need. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jerry Gene Moore; her parents; her four brothers, Emil Jr., Willis, Eldon and Wesley; her three sisters in infancy and her granddaughter, Camaran. A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM, Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel, 3800 N Big Spring, Midland, Texas, 79710.In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to The Down Syndrome Association of South Texas at https://29159.thankyou4caring.org/donate,
