Elvia was born on August 17, 1943 to Santos Torres and Nazario Saucedo in Parras De La Fuente, DGO Mexico. She was a loving, caring, kind, fun, and strong independent woman. She loved all her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed traveling and her favorite place she enjoyed the most is Ruidoso, NM. She loved birds, listening to music and coloring books.

She is survived by children, Socorro Amaya, Marta Amaya, Ludy Alvarado, Maria Diego, Rayo Amaya, Yolanda Amaya, Elvia Lozoya, Lupe Amaya, Ernest Amaya, Juan Amaya, Carlos Amaya, and Jesus Amaya. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesus Amaya.

Pallbearers will be grandkids, Daniel Carrasco, Joshua Amaya, Luis Alvarado, Kevin Martinez, Alvaro Lozoya, Gabriel Gonzalez, Christopher Amaya, and Jose Amaya.
