Ellen Elizabeth (Pustka) Thomason, 98, of Big Spring, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, October 10, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Ellen was born February 29, 1924 in Rowena, Texas to Millie and Alfred Putska. She married Bennie Willard Thomason October 9, 1943. He preceded her in death February 2, 1983. She was an active Roman Catholic. She was an amazing mother/grandmother/wife and pillar of the Roman Catholic Church. She was also a housewife and a military spouse. She had a heart as big as the world itself. After the death of her husband, she lived with her daughter Cindy and her husband Troy Kerby of Coahoma.
Ellen is survived by her daughters: Desdie Odell Smith of Mallary, New York, Jacqueline Eylene Lanqlinais of Waco, Anna Marie Knopp of Katy and Cynthia Darlene Kerby of Coahoma; one sister: Mary Pustka; 27 grandkids and 46 great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; one son: Bennie Wayne Thomason; two brothers: Robert Pustka and Al Pustka and two sisters: Justine Kennedy and Margaret Dailey.
