Elizabeth \Jo\ Sledge, 82, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, with Rev. Mark Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.Jo was born July 23, 1933 in Big Spring, and married Bobby Sledge November 6, 1953 in Big Spring. They moved to Sweetwater a few years later. Jo worked as a secretary and office manager for an insurance agent. Her greatest job was being a Mom. She enjoyed every bit of it, from PTA meetings to Girl Scouts. Jo and her husband Bobby moved back to Big Spring in 1981.She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Big Spring.Jo is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bobby Sledge of Big Spring; two daughters, Karen Nachlinger and husband, Larry of Hermleigh, TX, and Lisa Sledge of Lake Colorado City, TX; five grandchildren, Kerry Bankhead and husband, Brandon, Russell Wall and wife, Jacque, Kasey Nachlinger, Cindy Nachlinger, and Alisha Carter; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Wanda Jones of Big Spring; three sister-in-laws, Pat Kinsey of Austin, Charlotte Reynolds and husband, Johnnie of Corsicana, and Melba Jean Sledge of Midland; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Sledge Wall; her parents, James \Jim\ Vida (Russell) Kinsey; one brother, James Kinsey, Jr.; and two sisters, Mollie Smith and Sarah Sweeten.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
