A viewing will begin at 12:00pm, Tuesday, March 23 and Rosary at 7:00pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. Services will be at 10:00am Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
Eliseo was born on January 1, 1930 in El Mulato in Mexico to Antonio Gomez and Bernarda Montoya. Eliseo grew up working on his family farm. He migrated to the United States at a very young age and continued to work on ranches. He married Maria Elia Bustamante on April 29, 1972 and settled on Reynolds Ranch in Garden City, TX until his retirement in 1994 where he moved to Midland, TX. He continued his joy of the country life working with his animals on his land. Eliseo is best remembered by his expectations that reflect his strong work ethic and his respectful demeanor. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather who gave his family many wonderful memories and practical advice for living a simple and joyful life. His life sacrifices have left a seed with his children and grandchildren to continue to dream and work hard for that dream.
Eliseo is survived by his children Jesus Antonio Gomez (wife Berenice), Rosario Zapata (husband Elario), and Eliseo Gomez (wife Laura); his grandchildren Andrea (fiancée Jacob), Melanie, A.J., Evan, Daniela, Miguel, Alejandro, Magdalena, Mariella, Brian, and Amaralis; his two great-grandchildren Joshua and Ethan; and his brother Jose Gomez.
Eliseo is preceded in death by his wife Maria Elia; his parents Antonio and Bernarda; his brothers Carmen, Pascasio, Octavio, Manuel; his sisters Evangelina, Rosa, and Balbina; his nephews Margarito Gomez and Eleazar Gomez.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards Dr. PJ Patel, Maria Gonzalez, Juana Dora Martinez and Kindred Hospice: Christian, Jennifer, Bevan, and Amanda for helping take care of our father.
