Elaine Dunlap

August 11, 1945 - April 13, 2014

Elaine Dunlap was born on August 11, 1945 to Gene & Gerry Eckols in McCamey, Texas. She was raised in Rankin and graduated from Rankin High School in 1963.On July 11, 1987, Elaine was married to the love of her life and best friend, Les Dunlap. He died in 1992. She worked at Union Oil as a secretary and later for the Texas State Health Department as a supervisor.Survivors include brother, Mike Eckols of Odessa; nephews, Robert (Tana) Eckols and daughter, Bailey Elaine, of Katy & Jason (Jennifer) Eckols and their son, Jake, of San Antonio; stepsons, Glenn Dunlap of Orlando, FL and Tom Dunlap of Austin; two favorite cousins, Lyn McEwen of Midland & Joe Eckols of Granger; extended family & friends. Also surviving is Max, her beloved dog.Elaine requested no funeral be held, however, private graveside services will be held at a later date.Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.,
