Growing up with Mike I got to know Durward very well. I remember going camping at Hordes Creek and learning how to fly fish. When we were riding the Honda 100 and he would tell us to slow down, he was timing us with his watch. Also the bucking barrel, the dove cage, the ol blue Ford pick-up, whiskey & honey cough medicine, haircuts on the back porch, the job he gave us digging up mesquite @ 1.00 a bush (ha ha) He truly was like a second father to me and I will always be grateful he was part of my life growing up.

Two wonderful people to visit with; Durward and Maxine. We were friends with Mike and Monique but Craig Scott and I would always enjoy stoppping by to visit their parents. They too became our friends. We bought a Jayco pop-up camper from them and had more fun going through the camper and Maxine telling us stories of family camping trips. I loved getting Christmas cards for years keeping us intouch with this sweet family. Such fond memories from my past. My very best to the family.

Having gone through this myself, I understand some of what you must be feeling. It's not easy to lose a parent but at least you know he lived a full and happy life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Robb, Melissa, Robbyn and Tyler Smith
