Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 3,2014 at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Elwin Collom, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Big Spring, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the funeral home. Dean was born February 3, 1931 in DeKalb, Texas. She married James Lee (Jim) George September 14, 1946 in Clovis, New Mexico. He preceded her in death September 6, 2006.She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Big Spring and worked 15 years at the Hillcrest Child Development Center. Prior to working at Hillcrest Baptist Church she worked in childcare in Odessa. She is survived by one daughter, Gayle Graham and husband, Robert (Skip) of Tulsa, OK; three sons, Lee George and wife, Janet of Lavon, Texas formerly of Big Spring, James Michael (Mike) George and wife, Debbie of Lakeland, Florida, and Cecil George and wife, Kathy of Fort Stockton. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one brother, Howard B. Stallcup and wife Cynthia of Denton, Texas, and one sister, Faye Wilson of Burleson, Texas. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Pearl Stallcup. The family suggests memorials be made to The American Cancer Society, a local Hospice care provider or a charity of your choice.
