Graveside Service

Donnie Frank Jones, 69, of Big Spring, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Friday, June 4, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be at 11:00am Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.

He was born August 27, 1951 in Lefors, Texas to Clifford and Dorotha Jones.

Donnie graduated from Big Spring High School in 1969. He went on to become a Master Electrician, which led him to travel all over the country installing wiring for the light rail system. He was an avid guitarist. He enjoyed working on model trains and spending time with his family. He was a great man, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include two daughters Lisa Jones, and Amy Islas, A granddaughter and husband Meagan and Frank Lopez, and a great granddaughter Ember Lopez.

He was preceded in death by his father Clifford Jones, his mother Dorotha Jones, and his son Michael Jones.

Donnie was a great guy full of wonderful sayings. He worked on the LA metro rail and some side jobs with me before going to work on the light rails. Joining Local 11 was a great step for him and he did well, but he died far to soon. He will always be remembered by me. Joe Risse
