Our beloved “Didi,” Donna Lou Becker Thomas, of Midland, Texas went to be with Jesus on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the age of 68.Donna is survived by her mother Ruth Knight Becker of Midland, TX; her daughter and son-in-law Laura and Chance Justice, and granddaughters Emme and Halle; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Brittany Thomas and grandchildren Brooke and Samuel; brother David Becker; sister Paula Baimbridge; sister and brother-in-law Ann and Mark Parker; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Phillip Becker.Donna was born June 16, 1949 in Norman, Oklahoma to Phillip and Ruth Knight Becker. She moved to Midland in 1953 which she called home for the rest of her life. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1971 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, where she was president of her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. Donna was gifted with a special heart for children and worked as an elementary school teacher for many years. Donna’s pride and joy was her loving family, especially her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Didi.” She was an active woman who enjoyed serving at the café at her church, Stonegate Fellowship, caring for her perfectly manicured yard, Diet Coke, and working out with her gym friends who became a second family to her. Donna’s friends and family will always remember her as a ray of sunshine, whose energy brought life and love everywhere she went! Her laugh was contagious and would fill the room with such comfort and warmth.A memorial is scheduled for 10:00 am on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Stonegate Fellowship and will be officiated by Zach Schroeder.
