Angels escorted Donald Smith from this earth into the arms of his Lord and Savior on December 11, 2013. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 16, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park with Chaplain Brian Serrano officiating.Donald was born February 28, 1963 to Tom D. Smith Sr. and Doris L. Stroud in Odessa, Texas.Donald was employed by Don-Nan Pump & Supply.Survivors include wife, Carol Helton of Midland; daughter, Carrie McCoy and husband Tim; father, Tom D. Smith, Sr. and wife Diane; grandson, Samuel McCoy and granddaughter, Emmalee McCoy; sister, Janice Holley; nephews, Justin and Quentin Holley; niece, Heather Stroud and husband Brent and their children Ryann and Blakeston.He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris L. Carlisle; grandparents, D.R. and Mary Alice Stroud; daughter Christina Helton; grandson Eric Paul; and granddaughters Baylee and Emma Buck.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Home Hospice of Odessa, or to the family to help with funeral expenses.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
