When my brother, sisters and I were young Dr. McGonagill took care of us at TSO. The last couple of times I got my eyes checked I went to see him not knowing at first that he had been our Dr. all those years ago. When I realized who he was we had a nice talk about the old days. He had known my parents and we talked about them. We laughed most of the time I was in there. He was a very sweet and kind man and I'm going to miss visiting with him.

I met Dr. Mac well over fifty years ago when he worked with my mom at TSO in Dallas. My uncle took a picture of all the kids before you left Dallas that I believe still hangs in your home. He was an excellent doctor and wonderful friend. There is no one word to explain my grandfather...he was such a wonderful man inside and out. He always had a smile on his face and was so happy and never let anything get him down. He was a very strong man. He loved his family very much, and always supported us in the decisions we made. He never missed a holiday, he always sent a card to me and then when I had children he continued that tradition with them. I learned a lot from him, and I feel very fortunate to of had him as a grandfather. I love him and will miss him, as will my family. I always looked up to him as a professional. He was always proud of me and my accomplishments. I will miss him terribly. My kids fondly referred to him as Grandpa Mac. They always looked forward to the greeting cards he religiously sent on every holiday...Valentine's, Halloween, Easter, St Patricks Day and their birthdays. He was so thoughtful. They loved getting those five dollar bills to add to their piggy banks. I am grateful he left a lasting impression on their little hearts. I anticipate seeing many people during his memorial service, as he was well loved and respected. I will miss you always Grandpa!
