Donald Fay Mattlin “Don“ was born February 10, 1937 to William and Olga Mattlin in Urbana, Illinois. After graduating from Urbana High School in 1955, he moved to Midland, Texas with his high school sweetheart, Linda Marene Duensing of Tuscola, Illinois to work on business machines.
In 1961 he married his high school sweetheart in Midland, Texas. They went on to have two children. Anna Christina and Marty Don.
Don moved to Wasilla, Alaska in 2017 to enjoy nature and fishing.
He was preceded in death by Anna Christina Mattlin and Linda Marene Duensing. He is survived by Marty Don Mattlin.
Graveside services will be held 3:00pm, Friday, May 5, 2023 at Resthaven North Cemetery in Midland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Make a Wish Foundation, an organization Don felt strongly about.
