Don Priddy of Weston Lakes, TX went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 20, 2010. He was born at home in Amherst, TX on September 28, 1930 to W.H and Sue Ellen Winfrey Priddy. He was a graduate of Amherst High School and Texas A&M College, Class of 1953. Don married Helen Marie Vaughn, also of Amherst, on January 21, 1951.After graduating from Texas A&M in Agricultural Economics, he took a job with the National Cotton Council in Memphis, TN. He later transferred to Alamogordo, New Mexico and then to Harlingen, TX. In 1964 Don took a job with Hesston Corporation as a territory manager and moved to Big Spring where they made their home for 44 years. In 2008 they relocated to Fulshear, TX.While in Big Spring Don served as a deacon with First Baptist Church; was an active member of the Kiwanis Club; and an avid woodworker after retiring. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years; three daughters, Druanne Priddy Cotten and husband, Kenneth of Corpus Christi, Pam Priddy of Terlingua, and Melinda Priddy Rimer and husband, Chip of Weston Lakes; and one son, Ritchie Priddy and wife, Tammi of St. Francisville, LA. Don was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren, Kenny Cotten, Michael Cotten, Kirsten McMurray, Ben Priddy, Alice Cotten, Meredith McMurray, Aaron Priddy, Chase Rimer, and Kate Rimer.Services will be held at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Big Spring, Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Dennis Etheredge, officiating.There will be a viewing Thursday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring.Pallbearers will be Kenny Cotten, Michael Cotten, Aaron Priddy, Chase Rimer, Ben "Paul" Priddy, Jim Priddy, and Darrell Priddy.
