Domingo Carrizales was born at Beeville Memorial Hospital in Beeville, Texas to Juan and Juanita Carrizales. His childhood years were spent in Normanna, Texas and he graduated from Pettus High School. Domingo earned his petroleum engineering degree from Texas A & I University in Kingsville, Texas. He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.
Domingo married the love of his life, Paz Andrade Carrizales, in 1967 and they have been together for over 54 years. Domingo has two children, Johnny Joe and Melanie Yvonne, three grandchildren, Gabrielle Rodriguez (Antonio), Katarina, and Christian, and two great grandsons, Zaydrian Rey and Nylo (future).
He was a proud member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, where he served as Parish Council President, Eucharistic Minister, Usher, Festival Chairman, and life member of the Knights of Columbus.
Domingo was always willing to volunteer his time, until his illness prevented him from doing so, at several organizations including the Food Bank, Helping Hands, and Christmas in April.
He is survived by several family members, including his wife Paz, children, grandchildren, his sister Eugenia Carrizales, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday August 25, 2021 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.
