Deloris Ann Trauten, 81, of Midland, TX departed this earthly life on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She was born on September 2, 1941 in Sparta, Wisconsin to Richard and May Johnson. Deloris was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. We will miss her smile, laughter, and love. She enjoyed baking, gardening and traveling.
Deloris is survived by her children Debra (Paul) Yates, Diane DeLarosa, Mary (Rick) Mangers, Jon Trauten and Brian Trauten; grandchildren, Kim (Jim) Marshall, Lisa (OJ) Wilson, Danielle Yates, Erin Yates, Melissa (Hurstel) Howard, Josh Mangers, Zach DeLarosa, Jillian Trauten, Jakob Trauten; great grandchildren, Brittany McDonald, Sorin Wilson, Izabella Howard, and Miles Howard; great-great grandchildren, Brenden Yates, Sophie McDonald, Keagan McDonald, and Kinleigh McDonald; siblings David (Betty) Johnson and Dennis (Jodi) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Richard Johnson and May Johnson; her loving husband, Walter M. Trauten; siblings Shirley Erickson, Alvina Sullivan, Jim Johnson.
A small memorial service will be held at San Miguel Catholic Church in Midland, TX on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM, followed by a luncheon.
At a later date, yet to be determined, we will have a graveside service held in Aurora, IL.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards hospice, the staff at the Courtyards Memory Care, Laura Rodriguez (family friend) and the San Miguel Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America, Alzheimer’s Foundation, and Hospice of Midland.
