Deborah Liles, 61, of Garden City, unexpectedly passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 at her home. She was only 61 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death.
Deborah was born February 9, 1961 in Monroe, LA to J.C. Zagone and Annette (Thigpen) Zagone. Deborah had an infectious laugh and personality, she was always the life of the party, like a magnet, everyone naturally gravitated towards her. She never met a stranger. Every person in the world, to her, was just a friend she hadn’t met yet. Deborah loved tending to her flowers and plants, she was always working on various craft projects, but it was her delicious cooking that she was most known for. She loved cooking for her family and friends. You could taste the love she put into her meals, and she made sure that no one left her home on an empty stomach. But, by far, her biggest pride and joy were her children and grand babies.
She was married to Eddie Liles for 23 years and blended their families when they got married.
She will be deeply missed, remembered and survived by her husband, Eddie Liles; father and bonus mother, JC and Debbie Zagone; her children, Casey (Felts) Zelaya, Anthony Keith Felts Jr, Libby Felts, Adam Sturtevant, Carmella Liles and bonus daughter, Sheyenne Liles; siblings Vicki and Jay Zagone; 9 grandchildren, Logan, Zia, and Ella Zelaya, Logan Barnes, Layla, and Landon Felts, Cameron, Lincoln, and Luca Felts, as well as countless friends.
She’s joining her beloved grandmother, Francis Page Thigpen; mother Annette Zagone, as well as her first husband Anthony Keith Felts Sr and second husband, Adam J. Sturtevant.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at her family home in Downsville, Louisiana.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
