Debbie Duke, 49, of Midland passed away on July 13, 2022. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 10:00am at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.
Debbie Ann Matheson- Duke was born on November 29, 1972, in Midland, Texas to Loyd Alfred Matheson and Patsy Matheson-Simmons. Debbie graduated from Lee High School and then went on to get her bachelor’s degree in respiratory. She has two amazing kids Stoney and Stormey and two of the greatest grandkids she could have ever asked for Dahlia and Braxton. Debbie was the most kindhearted, most caring individual, but note (she hates people) ha-ha
She would always put everyone before herself, no questions asked. Debbie was married to Chris for the last 22 years. They enjoyed rock n roll concerts and fishing. But overall, Debbie just wanted to do anything that had to do with family or work. She loved to be with family but loved to work just as much. In fact, she has worked all over Midland, Odessa, Lubbock, Abilene, and El Paso. I am sure I have missed some. However, she has touched so many hearts throughout her journey in this life and she will be tremendously missed, not only from family, but from the work field and her patients.
Debbie is survived by her husband Chris Duke, her kids Stoney and Stormey and her favorite son-in-law as she would call him, Felix and her two grandbabies Dahlia Munoz, and Braxton Munoz; her butt head dog Boots; her sisters Cindy Reynolds and Sheila Matheson; nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents Loyd Matheson, and Patsy Matheson-Simmons; her brother Jimmy Matheson; some of her close friends Diana, Val and Louise, and Chuck; and so many more.
The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who were so helpful at this time in our lives.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.
