After a long, difficult and courageous struggle, Dayna D’Layne Beikirch, 63, of Midland went toher Heavenly home Monday, January 20, 2014. Dayna loved her Lord and family immeasurably.She was a strong, compassionate and loving lady who made friends wherever she went. She was an inspiration to many and God used her lengthy illness to model faith, trust and hope to others. She enjoyed serving her church in so many ways, including Sunday School director and various church committees too numerous to list. Dayna was an instrumental member of FBC’s most recent Building Committee and felt blessed to be able to see the project completed.Dayna was born August 26, 1950 to Winifred and Alvin Lamm, Jr. in Seminole, Texas. Shegraduated from Seminole High School and attended Draughon’s Business College in Lubbock,Texas. Dayna owned and operated West Texas Mortgage Company.She married Dale Beikirch on February 13, 1988 in Midland. Left to cherish her memory includehusband, Dale W. Beikirch of Midland; daughter, Shea R. Showers and husband Karl ofMidland; son, David J. Beikirch and wife Christine of College Station, Texas; grandchildren,Joshua Tucker, Jacob Tucker Jonathan Beikirch, and Grace Beikirch; sister, Shyree Thomas and husband Geryk of Montgomery, Texas; niece, Courtnea Thomas and nephew, Chad Thomas.Memorials may be made to the ‘Arise and Build’ Campaign, First Baptist Church, 2104 W.Louisiana Avenue, Midland, Texas 79701.The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 23, 2014 at thefuneral home. Funeral services will be held at l0:00 am, Friday, January 24, 2014 at FirstBaptist Church in Midland with Dr. Gary Dyer and Dr. Randel Everett, officiating.
