David Lynn Wilson, 66, resident of Big Spring, peacefully departed on March 17, 2024, following a courageous battle against cancer. Born on November 29, 1957, to Bob Wilson and Patricia Wilson Beverly in Knox City, Texas, his life was a journey of love, dedication, and cherished moments. Someone once said “he’s never met a stranger.”
David graduated from BSHS in 1976. He initially worked for Cabot Corporation, subsequently finding work with Champion Technologies, where he dedicated the better part of his career. His commitment to safety landed him the position of Safety Manager at GEO.
After retirement, he remained active working part-time at Star Dodge and Big Spring Ford. He was an Elder and a member at First Presbyterian Church, Big Spring. On March 1, 1980, destiny intertwined his path with Susan Plowman, his beloved partner in life. Together, they were blessed with three sons: Dustin, Dereck, and Seth. Family was very important to David, and he was happiest in fishing with his family and spending precious moments with his grandchildren: Kendyl, Kaley, Jonas, and Graeson.
David is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Susan of Big Spring and his three sons: Dustin and Johanna Wilson of Astoria, Queens, New York; Dereck and Amber Wilson of Big Spring; Seth Wilson and Lisa Barnes of Big Spring.
