David Evans, 43, of Midland, passed away on January 20, 2021. A visitation will be from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. The family will have a private graveside service.
David Evans was born September 14, 1977 in Houston, Texas to Michael and Ginny Evans. David spent his elementary days in the Woodlands and then moved to Midland. David met his wife Valli at Lee High School in 1994. After graduating, David joined the United States Air Force as a PMEL Technician. David and Valli were married after she graduated in 1997. The Air Force took them many places and on many adventures. David served for 8 years and separated as a Staff Sergeant of the USAF. In 2011, they welcomed their only child, Noah Evans. David took pride in raising Noah and teaching him to be kind but to also laugh at himself. David thought that laugher was good for the soul. David’s greatest joy in life was being a father and a husband.
David Evans is survived by his wife, Valli Evans, his son Noah Evans, his parents Michael and Ginny Evans, his sister Angie Evans, his in-laws John and Linda Shumake, his sister-in-law Lisa Fender and her husband Barry and their children Jake and Faith Fender, his brother-in-law Cody Shumake and his wife Rhonda and their child Falon, and his sister-in-law Dusty Padilla and her son Eli.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards all of our family, friends, co-workers and the staff of San Antonio Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Midland Humane Coalition.
