Danny Ray Sperl, 56, of Midland, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022 in Lubbock, TX. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 2:00PM-4:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Danny was born on June 6, 1966 to Jospeh Dan Sperl, Sr. and Patricia Lillian Fisk he was later adopted by step-mother Sandra Armbruster. Danny was a flight medic in the Army for 8 years where his passion for nursing was born. He was discharged from the Army and went on to completed nursing school at Midland College. He worked in many different areas of nursing but he was most passionate was flight nursing which, he did for several years with CareStar, later named AeroCare. He was working on his MSN degree to be a nurse practitioner while working at the Delek Refinery in Big Spring where found his second family. He always said he just wanted to help people and I think he did that in many ways. He second passion was his “children”, which were his dogs, who he loved and spoiled very much.
Danny is survived by his wife Teri Sperl, who he married in February 1987, and his two boys Ryan and Tyler.
He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Dan Sperl, Sr., his mother Patricia Lillian Fisk, brother Joseph Dan Sperl, Jr and grandparents Patricia and Edward Sperl.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to Rays of Hope Children’s Grief Centre in Midland or an animal rescue of your choice.

My sincere condolence in the passing of Danny. He was a very happy and helpful person. I am very grateful for the special care he did when I felt down in the refinery parking lot and hurt my knee. lips, and forehead. Luckily, I did not break anything and only got bruised.
