Daniel Justin Christensen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Daniel Justin Christensen, 46, at his home on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Daniel was born on October 5, 1977, in Midland, Texas. Daniel played baseball and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He was always happy to attend Midland Cubs games with his grandfather Max Christensen. Growing up Daniel cherished his time spent with his grandparents Dorothy and Clifford Nutter, Marcie and Max Christensen as well as his uncle Harry Nutter and good friends. Daniel graduated from Midland High School in 1996. Daniel attended Midland College and UTPB.

Daniel moved to Houston and trained to be a caddy. Daniel caddied on the Buy.com & Nike tours for eight years. During that time while caddying on the road he met the love of his life Kelly playing Words with Friends. Daniel and Kelly recently celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary.

Daniel had a great sense of humor and loved people. He enjoyed fishing, golf, being outdoors and working with his hands. Daniel also loved playing with his nephew and nieces who affectionately called him “Uncle D.”

Daniel is survived by his loving parents, Cheryl and Doug Christensen of Midland Texas. He will also be missed by his lovely wife Kelly Christensen of Midland, Texas; his brother Will Christensen and sister-in-law Elisabeth, nephew John and nieces Margot, Reese and Mary Katharine of Midland, Texas; brother-in-law Tom Dignan; uncle Harry Nutter of Midland, Texas; aunt and uncle Ellen and Dale Perry; aunt and uncle Mary Ann and Robbie Christensen of Midland, Texas, as well as numerous cousins and friends, all of whom adored him deeply. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Marcie and Max Christensen and his grandparents Dorothy and Clifford Nutter.

A memorial service will be Monday, August 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Nalley Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland followed by a reception at The Branch, at the same location.
