Cynthia “Cindy” Logan, 67 of Midland, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, August 28th of 2024. A visitation will begin at 6pm on Friday September 6th 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Services will be 12pm Saturday, September 7th 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch. Interment will follow at 1pm at Ellis Resthaven.
Cindy was born on May 10th, 1957 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Lillian and Maxie Curtis Hoffpauir. She was the youngest born of her three sisters Billie, Judy and Mary Ann. She grew up in Louisiana until she moved to Midland in 1974, where she graduated from Lee High School and then met her soon-to-be husband Danny Logan. Danny and Cindy worked together at Denny’s where Danny was a cook and Cindy a waitress. She enjoyed her time there waiting tables where the two fell in love, and got married on April 2nd, 1976. They would go on to later have two children together during their 48 years of marriage; Anthony and Breanna.
After several years of hard work an opportunity arose for Cindy to work at the Midland County Annex. She was extremely talented at her job and eventually worked her way up to being appointed as the Chief Deputy Treasurer of the Treasurer’s office in 2001. During her time there she received numerous awards and achievements for her skills and expertise. After 20 years of dedicated service she retired from her position in June of 2020.
She loved being outdoors fishing, camping, boating, biking and doing things in her yard. After retiring she had the time to explore her other interests and passions of spending time at church, painting, working with ceramics and clay, giving back to her community through volunteer work and most importantly spending time with her family and of course, shopping!
She was a devout Christian and led her life with Christian morals living faithfully, being kind, giving back, volunteering and spreading the Lord’s word any time she got the chance. She studied the Bible daily, taking notes and reading several other books on the Bible to get the most education and best understanding of the Bible she could. She chose to be rebaptized in October of 2018 to feel as close to the Lord as possible.
She was a wonderful mother to her children Anthony and Breanna, beautiful wife to her husband Danny, loving sister to Billie, Mary Ann and Judy, proud grandmother to her grandson Ezra, and a great one of a kind friend to many. To her children Anthony and Breanna she was an angel on earth and the real life superwoman who taught them kindness, strength, generosity, persistence, forgiveness, independence and true unconditional love.
She loved making new friends and would bring a smile and warmth to anyone she crossed paths with. She was a gentle and kind soul who would go above and beyond for anyone when she got the chance, even a person she had just met. If you had the privilege of meeting her you know her sense of humor was the best and she had an infinite amount of love to give to all that she came across. Whether you were a lifelong friend or someone she had her differences with, she loved everyone just the same, with all of her heart.
Cynthia is survived by husband Danny Logan of Midland, daughter Breanna Logan of Midland (her “grand-dogs” Kiara and Chloe), son-in-law Joshua Chambers of Midland, grandson Ezra Logan of Midland, sister Billie Houfpauir-Endsley of Kingwood, nieces Donna Schaefer, Pam Clark, Kimberly Peters, nephews Curt Endsley, Shane Schaefer; special friends Beverly Engeldahl, Dennis and Terri Robbins.
