Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Freshour, 74 of Midland, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 in the peace and comfort of her home. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, March 17, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.
Cindy was born on October 10, 1948 in Liberal, Kansas to Peggy and Robert “Bob” Madden. Cindy graduated from Liberal High School in 1968. She later earned her Bachelors Degree from the University of Texas Permian Basin. Cindy worked for AT&T and its many subsidiaries for 43 years before retirement. On May 2, 1987, she was married to DeWayne Freshour and recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Cindy was actively involved in the community and Stonegate Fellowship Church. She loved gardening and sewing and will be remembered as a loyal and compassionate friend, wife, sister, aunt and grandma.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, DeWayne Freshour of Midland, Texas; two sisters, Ranita Johnson of Amarillo, Texas, and Ruth McBryde (Bill) of Canton, Oklahoma; one brother, Rick Madden (Connie) of Liberal, Kansas; two step-daughters, Debbie Morgan (Wayne) of Austin, Texas and Diane Leede (John) of Denver, Colorado; four nieces, one nephew, and five grandchildren.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, Billye Louise Madden (sister), Marjorie Lynn Eastep (sister), Albert Louis “Sonny” Madden (brother), and Jacque Lyn Johnson (niece).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of their choice.
