Curtis E. Wallace was born April 9, 1941, in Bremond, TX to the late Ezekiel Sr. and Willie W. Wallace. As a child, he attended Long Branch Church of God In Christ and graduated from Charles Love High School in 1958. On December 20, 1966, he was united in holy matrimony to Pauline Mayberry in Midland, TX.Curtis Wallace was a member of Northside Church of Christ for over 34 years under the leadership of Minister Dan Johnson. Curtis faithfully served as Sunday school teacher, Adult Bible Study, VBS teacher, part of the van ministry, and often preached on Sundays. Curtis was employed with Midland Country Club as Executive Chef where he retired after 47 years. An avid fisherman, his hobbies also included hunting, buying and selling collectibles and antiques on EBay, and enjoyed going to Estate sales.Curtis departed this life on December 16, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roland, John Wesley, Pete, and Ronnie Wallace; and sister, Esther M. Davis. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife of 47 years; two sons, Ron Shaw (Twila) and Michael Wallace (Yvette); and one daughter, Valencia Taylor (Rodney) all of Midland, TX. Ten grandchildren: Ronnie Pope, Jaime Pope, Erica Pope, Latisha Johnson-Wallace, Jasmine Wallace, Terrance Randle, Darrien Wallace, Desmond Wallace, Niguel Wallace, and Devin Savage. Three brothers: Ezekiel Wallace II (Dorothy) of Richmond, CA; Burnette Wallace (Carolyn) of Groesbeck, TX; and Eddie Wallace (Diane). Three sisters, Annie Haynes of Houston, TX; Ola Taylor (James) of Dallas, TX, and Princella Thomas (Leroy) Dallas, TX. Curtis also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.A wake will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, December 20, 2013 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Lee Street Church of Christ in Midland with Terrance Crisp, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.,
