Corby Jackson Ogden, 27, of Midland, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023.
Corby was born on June 12, 1995 to his loving parents Roxanne and Patrick Ogden in Odessa, Texas. He grew up in Midland with his older brothers, Ryan and Lane. Corby graduated from Midland Christian School in 2013, where he played both baseball and football, claiming the 2011 and 2012 football, as well as the 2012 baseball state championships. He attended Midland College and completed his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Management. Corby met the love of his life, Bailey Morgan, in 2020 and quickly became a father-figure to her son, Brazen. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Conlie, to their family in December of 2021. Corby and Bailey were engaged before Christmas and due to be married this year.
Corby was always a joy to be around and he loved his family fiercely. After his family, Corby had four loves in life: hunting, golf, baseball, and anything Texas Tech. He was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold, and a big, goofy smile for everyone he met. His family was not expecting for Corby’s life to be cut so short and he will be missed dearly.
Corby will always be remembered by his mother, Roxanne Ogden; his fiancé, Bailey Morgan, and their children, Conlie and Brazen; his brother, Ryan Ogden, and his son, Hudson; his brother, Lane Ogden; his future in-laws, Shawn and April Savage, and their three children, Adison, Kinslee, and Slade; his future father-in-law, Terry Morgan; his grandmothers, Ginger Harrell and Patricia (Tish) Ogden; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
We may all find solace in knowing he has been reunited with his dad, Patrick; his pops, Jack Harrell; and his granddad, Bill Ogden.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at The Branch at npw. Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10:00AM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mason McClendon, Zach Long, Jody Lively, Dalton White, Ryan Ogden, Lane Ogden, Hudson Ogden, and Brazen Morgan.
The family suggests memorials be donated to First Tee or Hunt With Heart.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com.
