Cora Frances McKinnon Hamilton, 90, of Midland passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 6:00-8:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 2:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel with Reverend Pat Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Cora was born on February 20, 1924 to George and Martha Ann McKinnon in Azle, Texas. She attended school in Fort Worth, Texas and shortly after met the love of her life, Robert Hamilton. On December 24, 1946, the two married and eventually moved to Midland in 1950. Together they raised 5 children, George, Robert Jr., Richard, Nancy, and James. She was a good, Christian woman with a heart of gold. She had a love for life and a passion for Vacation Bible School. She adored being around family and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and flourished at both. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for over a decade. She mourned the loss of her husband in 2009 and her family takes comfort in knowing they have been reunited.Per Cora’s request, the family asks that donations be made to The American Cancer Society, https://donate.cancer.org/index , and The Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.Cora is survived by her children, George Hamilton of Midland, Robert (Tawanna) Hamilton of Dallas/Fort Worth, Richard (Pam) Hamilton of Dallas/Fort Worth, Nancy (Harry) Mueller of Midland, and James Hamilton of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Martha Ann McKinnon; husband, Robert Hamilton; grandson, Jake Hamilton; and daughter-in-law, Jackie Hamilton.,
