Connie Farrington, 100, of Stanton, died on Friday, August 10, 2012, in a Midland hospital. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at the funeral home.Connie was born on May 1, 1912, in Eastland, Texas and married Mary Alice Martin on December 22, 1940 in Stanton. Connie loved to read the newspaper and farm and gin cotton. He may be best known for his love of playing dominoes.Survivors include his wife, Mary Farrington of Stanton; three sons, Connie Ray Farrington and wife, Lucille Big Spring, Nolan Farrington and wife, Darla of Brownwood, and Roger Farrington and wife, Brenda of Midland; one sister, Fay Mathiews of Orient, Iowa; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manley and Letha Ann (Shirley) Farrington; one son, Eddie Farrington; one sister, May Rectenbaugh; and an infant brother.
