It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Clifton Craig Holly, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on September 21, 2025, in Midland, Texas.
Born on July 7, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas, Craig lived a life marked by faith, compassion, and a deep dedication to his family and community.
Craig was a proud graduate of Texas Tech University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He worked as an accountant, demonstrating integrity and commitment throughout his career. Beyond his profession, Craig was deeply devoted to his church family, actively participating in various ministries and giving generously of his time to serve others.
A man of many passions, Craig cherished the moments he spent playing and coaching baseball in his younger years. He loved playing guitar with friends and at church events — a love that inspired his grandson Hagan to learn the guitar as well. One of Craig’s greatest joys was strumming alongside Hagan, sharing music and memories.
He also found deep fulfillment in hosting family Christmas gatherings, bringing together his cherished children and grandchildren. Family was the cornerstone of his life, and he relished every opportunity to create lasting memories with those he loved most.
Craig was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Dee Holly, and his parents, Arthur and Daisy Holly. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith, survived by his son Mark Holly; his daughter Jill Swihart and her husband Matt; his grandson Hagan Holly and his wife Veronica, along with their daughter Blakely; and his granddaughters Anna Claire Holly, Shelby Swihart, and Brooke Swihart. He is also survived by his brothers Ron Holly and his wife Linda, Barry Holly and his wife Betty, and Rocky Holly and his wife Dottie.
A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, September 26th, 2025, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at Kelview Heights Baptist Church with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the profound impact he had on all who knew him.
As we remember Craig Holly, we take solace in the knowledge that his spirit lives on through the love he shared and the lives he touched.
